Multipark Fuglebjerg
Concept Proposal and Masterplan for Multipark Fuglebjerg, envisioned as a new and identity-defining gathering place for the town’s residents.
An increasing number of children and young people in Fuglebjerg has created a need for a new community hub, a place that can bridge social divides, help prevent boredom and antisocial behaviour, and bring young people together through activities that also engage adults and families.
We explored the possibilities for establishing a new football pitch, skate park, play area, running trails, and other facilities that encourage play and physical activity in an urban yet green setting. The project also incorporates spaces that support different forms of play and recreation, including a sensory garden, as well as areas for relaxation and everyday activities.
Throughout the project, citizen and stakeholder engagement played a central role. A series of workshops was conducted to ensure that the project was firmly rooted among future users and neighbouring residents. During the initial concept phase, several different scenarios were explored, including:
- The Loop, connecting the area through a continuous ribbon of activities.
- The Tower, providing panoramic views across the town rooftops.
- The Carpet, unfolding a dynamic activity landscape across the site.
Multipark Fuglebjerg was supported by Næstved Municipality and the Realdania campaign The Meeting Place – A Campaign for Village Clusters.
