CPH Pulse

At Havneholmen in Copenhagen, we have created a series of green outdoor spaces aimed at enhancing the well-being of those working in the CPH Pulse office building.

CPH Pulse is a modern office development in Copenhagen SW, created with a strong focus on integrating greenery. The outdoor areas are designed to form a welcoming and inviting landscape, visible from the surrounding environment, from within the building, and from above. They create varied spatial experiences, offer a sense of arrival, and frame the entrance areas.

At CPH Pulse, three large rooftop terraces are integrated as part of the building’s architectural concept. The terraces provide access to outdoor spaces and extend their usability throughout the year—offering views over the harbour landscape and serving as a natural extension of working life at the top of Havneholmen. They are constructed using FSC-certified timber with high durability, and the planting includes diverse species that support biodiversity, ranging from small, robust alpine herbs to shrubs and smaller trees.

At street level, the landscape creates cohesion between the surroundings and the building, particularly through a central planted space on the ground floor. This space conveys a continuous planting structure through the building, linking the larger planted areas to the north and south. Spaces for staying and resting are created on the north, south, and west sides to varying degrees—especially on the south side, where smaller pockets are formed between planting beds, offering opportunities for relaxation.

In addition to the green rooftop terraces and outdoor niches, the building also includes a café, changing facilities, bicycle parking, a bicycle workshop, and kayak storage.
